Nevertheless, simply place the shredder on plywood cut an inch or two larger than the unit. The trash collector will easily slide out for cleaning. Spray the collector with Static Guard.
After using the shredder for several weeks we find that it does a very good job on large batches as well as several sheets at a time. It is indeed a heavy-duty shredder and adequate for home use. Squirt some oil in the slots as instructed to protect the unit. Use common sense and do not overload and the unit will provide good service.
