The shredder is what everyone has stated: Heavy duty, sturdy and easy to empty. I was disappointed when I shredded some items only to find that it really didn't cut into "confetti"; it cuts into strips. The strips are smaller than standard strip shredders (about 1 1/2 inch), but I thought it literally did cut into confetti-size. We're keeping it since it is not worth the shipping cost to send it back. If you are looking for true confetti size shredding, look at the "diamond" cut shredders.
